Mares are able to adopt orphaned foals and take care of them in the way only mothers know. There are many stories about great mares taking really good care of foals which are not their own, but anyway they love them unconditionally. This video shows something completely different and you’ll be stunned by this story…
This gelding is taking care of four orphaned foals, one being a “new entry”. It is so sweet watching him looking after the foals, although it is unusual. He acts as it is their mother and he does a great work watching over them and teaching them how to be horses.
The four foals are members of Kentucky Humane Society Equine Care foal program. Very soon they’ll be ready for adoption, but until then Bucket is the one who will take care of these precious creatures.
You’ll probably agree with us that Bucket is a great parent and we are so happy to see him providing care to someone who really needs that. We can learn so much from this extraordinary gelding and follow his example of sharing the love. Take care of each other and go riding!
Bucket the gelding got a fourth baby to care for. He does a great job watching over them and teaching them how to be horses. These babies are members of our orphaned foal program, and will be ready for adoption soon. In the meantime, Bucket loves caring for these precious foals, and we love seeing what a good parent he is! #TheRightHorse
