Stu Mills, a CBC Ottawa’s reporter, was trying to record a promo with Rusty the horse. The reporter was trying to get on the back of the beautiful horse which was blind in one eye, but something unexpected happened. Rusty was known as a calm, willing and honest horse, but as you know horses are unpredictable creatures. The beautiful animal probably could feel that the man who is getting on his back has never been on a horse before!
Rusty backed up and it was probably because of the surroundings- the camera was almost into his face and Mills was holding hard to the bits. So, this is what usually happens when a stranger gets on the back of a horse and tries to have a ride. Horses don’t like when a stranger gets on their back and their reaction can be dangerous. Some people don’t understand that and they want to achieve their goal, and that’s why they end up looking foolish and injured.
Things can go wrong when a horse is not feeling comfortable and that’s exactly what happened in this video. What happened to this reporter is also funny, although we sympathize with what he went throw. Find out more from the video below!
