Mocha and Cappuccino are surviving twins and a true miracle in the equine world. In the video footage beneath this text, you will hear the miraculous story of the amazing twin foals who received a special care from the team at Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Soon after their birth, Mocha and Cappuccino were transferred from their home farm to the OSU where John Schlipf, DVM and assistant professor of Large Animal Internal Medicine took over their case.
As he said, this is only the second set of live twins he has seen in 30 years of doing equine practice. It is a rare view of nature because most horse twins fail to survive the first few weeks after conception.
The video shows the pair enjoying all their attention, although they’ve experienced a few health issues early in life. You can witness their galloping skills and we hope their story gave you a happy jolt to your day!
