A horse named Monty has been locked away in a dirty stall for years. It was hard for him to get out of the stall after that much time, and he could not understand what was going on. He was confused and terrified, because he didn’t know anything. He didn’t have friends and that’s why his rescuer, Travis Underwood, didn’t know what to expect from Monty when he saw him for the first time!
Clearly, Monty didn’t receive a lot of care and he was bitten by flies in a bad way. He didn’t get out of his stall, he had no hoof or vet care, wasn’t groomed, had not been exercised, and Underwood truly wanted to help Monty. He found a sanctuary for him and tried to connect with him. Monty didn’t want to go out and wanted to hide in the dark. Underwood did a great work with Monty and step by step he managed to gain his trust.
Monty was more eager for a bond and eager to learn, thanks to Underwood’s huge efforts. To him it was a big challenge to get Monty back to normal life. He wanted to get him halter trained, but he is aware that he would need a lot of patience. Monty’s recovery is in progress and that’s great news. Find out more by watching the video!
